Canis Major - Newfoundland Water Training Group

The Canis Major Training Group is part of The Northern Newfoundland Club's Working Section.

We are a group of Newfoundland Dog owners who train at Trafford Water Park at Sale, Manchester from March to October each year. Training is mostly aimed at those Northern Newfoundland Club Members wishing to enter their dogs for the water tests. Some of us however just train for the fun of it and because most Newfies love it!

There are two main car parks at Watermead. Our test venue is the Northern one off the A46 Western Bypass and the Wanlip Road near Syston. The post code we recommend is LE7 1PD which is for the Hope and Anchor Pub. The park entrance is 300 yards past the pub on the left.

NOTE: £1.50 is needed for the coin operated barrier to gain entry to the park
